Katy Simcock and the team at Corley Cycles look forward to welcoming you to the penultimate round of the Central Cyclo-Cross League on Saturday January 21st at the Milton Keynes Bowl. Although we are returning to the MK Bowl for the third time this season, the course is completely new and totally different to any used in previous CX racing. See the course maps for the overview but the key feature is that the start and finish are on the road sections at the top of the arena which will give the course a World Cup style!
Online entries close on Tuesday night at 23:55. Online entry is cheaper and ALL riders are gridded irrespective of whether they are league members. If you have raced with Central CXL this season, we will use your finishing position to place you on the grid – average finishing position used excluding DNFs.
If you want a grid position and are racing from outside the league – please contact Keith Perry by Wednesday lunch time in race week
With the best 8 races to score form 15 Central CXL races, there are BIG POINTS on offer for those still racing and so do make sure you race the last 2 events and also make sure you FINISH!
To clarify for newer riders – to finish a race, you must cross the line after the flag has been raised for the winner. This means if you have a mechanical and do not have a spare bike, you can still finish by carrying your bike to the finish and ensuring you cross the line after the winner.
You must stay on the course and travel only in the direction of the course If you leave the course and do not return at the point where you left, this will be a DQ and a DNF!
Also if you have a mechanical you must travel to the pits in the direction of the race. You cannot go “back to the pits” even if you are only a few yards past the pit exit! You need to go around again!
Unlimited parking at the Bowl on hard standing is an attractive feature of the venue. Very spectator friendly and there will be catering on site to keep you warm and fed.
We do take unlimited entries on the day in all races and so you will always be guaranteed an entry if you travel.
If you have any questions do post on the Facebook page or contact the League on
We look forward to welcoming you on Saturday for some fast and fun racing with Corley Cycles and Central CXL.
