The 2017 Season is finally done and dusted.
Prize giving successfully completed, 56 awards presented, £2000 prizes and £1000 Ridley Bike Voucher presented to riders randomly selected from affiliated riders in attendance.
Results of rider survey delivered and top races, favourite course and toughest course presented.
The list of people to thank is a long one!
Kelvin Hoy – One of the original founding team. League co ordinator, top commissaire, officials co ordinator and TV personality!
Mark Doel – league co ordinator and main man behind bringing on new events as Regional Events Officer for BC. Most often seen sorting the finish line teams at nearly every event – and setting up and breaking down the branding after most have gone home.
Graham MacNamee – set up the league with Kelvin Hoy – usually seen delivering fun skills sets with Go Ride at most events.
Steve Moakes – the brains behind the gridding system, entry system and all things stats. Also V50 photographer and V40 racer
Mark Calvert – rider survey co -ordinator and awards night team and V40 race ace
Sam Hughes – awards evening organiser and vet women racer
Mike Jackson – organiser of the prize structure via Madison Genesis and V40 race ace
John Harris – main man behind the Ridley Sponsorship and presenter of the cheque on the night! Also occasional novice racer.
Jeff Roberts – Verco Office Furniture sponsor and provider of the hurdles and branding. Returning to racing V50 next season
Duncan Godfrey – the face behind Belgian Freckles Videos and senior racer
Molli Keenor – incidental photographer on race day and U16 award winner
Garry Neesam – The Man With The Big Lens – providing top quality pro photos at nearly every event.
John Jones – Regional Treasurer and the man who controls the finances
Dennis Lisbygd – the face behind Race Timing Solutions. Transformed the Central League into the success it is today. Occasional Senior racer
Velo Bants – no further comment required other than Uplifting contribution to race day!
Fran Whyte – promoter of women in the Central CXL and top senior rider.
