British Cycling affiliation

How do I join CCXL as an affiliated rider?

This year all affiliation is on an individual rider basis via the British Cycling website. Affiliation costs £15. See the affiliation page for full details on the Central CXL League page on the British Cycling website.

There is no club affiliation — every rider must register individually to be included in the league. There is no paper or postal affiliation and you cannot affiliate on the day; registration is online and in advance only.

How much does it cost?

Entry fees are shown for online entry (OLE) and for entry on the day. All online entries are subject to a £1 booking fee per race. Online entry closes for all events at midnight on the Wednesday prior to each event.

You do not need a British Cycling Race Licence to compete in the Central CX League.

Non-BC members over 16 must pay a £5 day licence fee.

League points

All 7 rounds count towards your league standing. No category points if a veteran races in the senior category.

How does gridding work?

Gridding prioritises affiliated riders based on league standings. Non-affiliated riders are gridded after. Bring proof of national ranking if seeking front grid placement.

Online entry closes at 23:55 on the Wednesday before race day.
